Kyler Clark is an award winning bassist who was born and raised just outside of Atlanta, GA. As a life long student of music, he had garnered the attention of bass legend and mentor Adam Nitti at Atlanta Institute of Music by the age of 11. Eventually Kyler made his way to Berklee College of Music in Boston to study the Electric Bass, Music Business Management and Music Production & Engineering.
Fate would uproot him again, this time to Los Angeles, where he met up with future band mates Thom Barg and Brannon Lee of the band Calahan. The band recorded several regionally successful EP’s and launched accompanying tours, but they eventually turned to songwriting almost exclusively. Together they wrote music that was frequently used on hit tv series’ like Grey’s Anatomy, Weeds and several others.
Along side Calahan’s efforts, Kyler kept busy for 7 years performing and recording as a freelance bassist in LA, humbly sharing the stage with greats such as Billy Duffy, Slim Jim Phantom, Derek St. Holmes, Dizzy Reed among others. Kyler also teamed up with singer Johnny Strong, working on music for the now defunked Atlantic Records band “Operator”, and also joined Nick Simmons, son of legendary KISS bassist Gene Simmons for his short lived project “The Electric Chairs”.
In 2007, Kyler found himself sucked into the heart of Rock N’ Roll, and for 3 years toured the world continuously as a guitar technician for bands like Alice Cooper, Smashing Pumpkins, Kiss, Five Finger Death Punch and others.
It is on the heels of this experience that Kyler returns to his roots. Currently he is writing, recording and performing as a freelance bassist in Nashville, TN.
